DAB upgrade?

I'm not too happy with the FM interface app on my android.

I have heard about DAB (I'm in the UK) and the USB plugin in dongles for DAB you can get.

I was wondering if anyone has had any success with one of these and what app you need for it wo work best?

Can I have your advice and thoughts on DAB and android

The USB DAB+ dongles like The generic ones on Amazon are pretty good. They just plug and play.

The thing that lets them down is the stick on windscreen antenna often supplied with them. You can get a signal one moment but as you drive the signal can disappear.

It is advisable to get a proper DAB+ roof mounted aerial upgrade. The key point here is to get the antenna with the same type connector as the USB stick.

The USB DAB+ I linked to uses a SMA interface (screw-on connector). You will need an antenna that accepts the same connector, like this SMA rooftop antenna for DAB+ on Amazon.



For the App, the most popular seems to be DAB-Z, for good reason. Give it a trial, you can always install a different app if you want to at any point.
